The quickest check list, ever, for painting like a professional

-
Test your colours first, as shades do vary in different lights
-
Make good all surfaces first by repairing any cracks and scrape off any wallpaper
-
Use different brushes for different paints to avoid mixing colours, unless that is one's intentions
-
To avoid cleaning out your paint tray when swapping colours, try lining it with foil or a plastic bag
-
For best results, paint ceiling first, followed by the walls, then the woodwork and finally skirting board
-
Hold a piece of card under the brush when painting skirting boards to prevent it picking up fluff off the floor
-
Wrap brushes up well in cling film to stop them drying out in between breaks
